Desi Lydic is an American comedian and actress known for her work on The Daily Show as a correspondent. She gained recognition from her role as guidance counselor Valerie Marks on the MTV comedy-drama series Awkward, which aired from 2011 to 2016. Lydic started her career in the 2001 parody film Not Another Teen Movie and has also appeared in the Spike miniseries Invasion Iowa and the parody series The Real Wedding Crashers. She has acted in movies such as We Bought a Zoo and The Babymakers. In addition, Lydic made a guest appearance as Shea Seger on the Disney Channel series Good Luck Charlie. Born in Louisville, Kentucky, Lydic joined The Daily Show as a correspondent in September 2015 and has hosted the show during the week of April 24, 2023.
