He is best known for his work in The No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency, Hotel Rwanda, Friends Indeed, Suburban Bliss, and Joburg Blues. Dube is a trained theatrical actor who has appeared in both commercial and street theatre productions. He has played lead roles in stage plays such as Jozi Jozi, Peto, and Street Sisters. Additionally, he has appeared in industrial theatre productions for Eskom, Siyabonga, and the AIDS Show. Dube has also starred in feature films like Inside, Tarzan: The Epic Adventures, Panic Mechanic, and Millennium Menace. In 2002, he starred in The Long Run alongside Armin Mueller-Stahl and Nthati Moshesh, which was produced by Anant Singh and acquired by Universal Focus.
