Diane Carol Baker (born February 25, 1938) is an American actress, producer, and educator. She has had a successful career spanning over 50 years. Born and raised in Los Angeles, California, Baker is the daughter of Dorothy Helen Harrington, who appeared in early Marx Brothers movies, and Clyde Lucius Baker, an automobile salesman. After graduating from Van Nuys High School, she moved to New York to study acting and ballet. In 1958, Baker signed a seven-year contract with 20th Century Fox and made her film debut in The Diary of Anne Frank (1959). She also starred in Journey to the Center of the Earth (1959) and The Best of Everything (1959). Throughout her career, Baker has appeared in numerous movies and TV shows.
