Dianne Wiest Biography
Dianne Evelyn Wiest (born March 28, 1948) is an American actress known for her extensive film and television career. She has received critical acclaim and has been recognized with numerous awards, including two Academy Awards for Best Supporting Actress. Wiest won her first Oscar for her role in Woody Allen's Hannah and Her Sisters (1986), and her second for Bullets over Broadway (1994). In addition to her Academy Awards, she has also won a Golden Globe Award and two Primetime Emmy Awards. Wiest has appeared in a wide range of films, including The Purple Rose of Cairo (1985), Edward Scissorhands (1990), The Birdcage (1996), and Rabbit Hole (2010). Her recent projects include Let Them All Talk (2020) and I Care a Lot (2020).
