Daniel Dwayne "Diggy" Simmons III is an American rapper, singer, songwriter, model, and actor. He was born on March 21, 1995, and is the fourth child of Joseph "Rev. Run" Simmons of Run DMC. Diggy is known for starring as Doug Edwards on the TV show Grown-ish. He gained initial fame through the MTV reality television show Run's House, which focused on his parents and siblings. Diggy was also a member of Lupe Fiasco's short-lived rap collective, All City Chess Club. In 2009, he released his debut mixtape, The First Flight, which received over 100,000 downloads. Diggy signed with Atlantic Records after receiving interest from multiple labels. He is widely recognized for his viral freestyle video over Nas' "Made You Look" and received praise from Kanye West.
