Dinah Lenney (born November 18, 1956) is an American actress and writer. She gained recognition as the author of the 2007 memoir, Bigger than Life: A Murder, a Memoir, which explores the murder of her father, Nelson G. Gross, a Republican Party politician and businessman. Lenney was born in New York City to Nelson Gerard Gross and Leah Gross. After her parents' divorce, she was raised by her mother and stepfather Ron Lenney. She attended Yale University, earning a B.A. degree in American Studies in 1978, and later studied acting at the Neighborhood Playhouse. Lenney has appeared in numerous stage, film, and television productions, including notable appearances on shows like Married... with Children (1991), Murphy Brown, and Judge Amy Gray.
