Djimon Hounsou

Djimon Gaston Hounsou is a Beninese-born actor and model. He made his film debut in Without You I'm Nothing (1990) and gained recognition for his role as Cinqué in the film Amistad (1997), earning him a Golden Globe nomination. Hounsou has been nominated for an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his performances in In America (2002) and Blood Diamond (2006). In the Marvel Cinematic Universe, he portrays Korath the Pursuer in Guardians of the Galaxy, Captain Marvel, and What If...?. He also appears as the Fisherman King in Aquaman and as the wizard Shazam in Shazam!, Black Adam, and Shazam! Fury of the Gods. His notable films include Stargate, Gladiator, Constantine, The Island, Special Forces, How to Train Your Dragon 2, Furious 7, and The Legend of Tarzan.
