Bhagavan Mahamayavi Antle, popularly known as Doc Antle, is an American animal trainer, private zoo operator, and convicted felon. Born on March 16, 1960, Antle has been involved in the animal industry from a young age, initially raising dogs and later establishing a private zoo in 1983. He garnered attention for his work as an animal trainer in films like Ace Ventura and Dr. Doolittle, and made guest appearances on various television shows. In 2020, Antle gained significant recognition through his appearance in the first season of the Netflix true crime documentary series Tiger King, which was followed by a separate documentary dedicated to his story in December 2021. Throughout his career, Antle has faced accusations of animal cruelty, and in October 2020, he was charged with wildlife trafficking-related felonies and additional misdemeanors after an investigation by the Attorney General of Virginia.
