Dominic Chianese Biography
Dominic Chianese is an American actor, singer, and musician, born on February 24, 1931, in the Bronx, New York. He is best known for his roles as Corrado 'Junior' Soprano in the HBO series The Sopranos (1999–2007), Johnny Ola in The Godfather Part II (1974), and Leander in Boardwalk Empire (2011–2013). Chianese's father was a bricklayer, and his paternal grandfather immigrated to the United States from Afragola, near Naples, in 1904. He graduated from the Bronx High School of Science in 1948 and went on to study acting at HB Studio in Manhattan. Throughout his career, Chianese has performed in Broadway theater, off-Broadway, and regional theater while also pursuing his musical passion as a rhythm guitarist.
