Dominick Dunne

Dominick Dunne (October 29, 1925 – August 26, 2009) was an American writer, investigative journalist, and producer. He began his career in film and television, producing notable works such as 'The Boys in the Band' (1970) and 'The Panic in Needle Park' (1971). In the early 1970s, he transitioned to writing, focusing on the intersection of wealth, high society, and the judicial system. Dunne became a frequent contributor to Vanity Fair and made regular television appearances discussing crime. Born in Hartford, Connecticut, Dunne was the second of six children. With his background in film and journalism, he made significant contributions to the entertainment industry and true crime reporting.
