    Don Chastain (September 2, 1935 – August 9, 2002) was an American actor, singer, and screenwriter. Born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, he had a successful career in both television and theater. Chastain appeared in several Broadway productions including Parade, 42nd Street, It's a Bird...It's a Plane...It's Superman, and No Strings. On television, he played Jim Thompson in The Debbie Reynolds Show and Scott Thomas in Hello, Larry. Chastain also wrote the screenplay for The Mafu Cage and contributed to the writing of As the World Turns. He made guest appearances on various TV shows such as Colt .45, The Real McCoys, Rhoda, Maude, The Rockford Files, All My Children, Hawaii Five-O, The West Wing, and Gunsmoke.
