Donald LeRoi LaFontaine (August 26, 1940 – September 1, 2008) was an American voice actor known for recording over 5,000 film trailers and countless television advertisements, network promotions, and video game trailers. He became famous for the phrase 'In a world...', which became a humorous catchphrase due to its frequent use in movie trailers. LaFontaine was widely recognized in the film industry and earned nicknames such as 'Thunder Throat', 'The Voice of God', and 'The King of Movie Trailers'. He also gained popularity through commercials for GEICO insurance and the Mega Millions lottery game.
