Don Stroud Biography
Donald Lee Stroud (born September 1, 1943) is an American actor, musician, and surfer. He has appeared in over 100 films and 200 television shows. Stroud was born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii by his mother and stepfather. At the age of 16, he earned a black belt in the Hawaiian martial art of Kajukenbo. Stroud began surfing at the age of 3 and won the Mākaha Junior Championship in 1960. He started his acting career after being hired as a double for Troy Donahue's surfing sequences. Stroud later moved to Los Angeles, where he became an actor, also serving as Donahue's fight double and bodyguard.
