Donald John Trump (born June 14, 1946) is an American politician, media personality, and businessman. He served as the 45th president of the United States from 2017 to 2021. Trump received a BS in economics from the University of Pennsylvania in 1968. In 1971, he became president of his father's real-estate business, which he renamed the Trump Organization. Trump expanded the company's operations to include building and renovating skyscrapers, hotels, casinos, and golf courses. He also ventured into licensing the Trump name for various side projects. From 2004 to 2015, Trump co-produced and hosted the reality television series The Apprentice, where he portrayed a fictionalized version of himself as a successful executive. Throughout his career, Trump and his businesses have been involved in numerous legal actions, including six business bankruptcies.
