Donna Mills Biography
Donna Mills (born Donna Jean Miller; December 11, 1940) is an American actress known for her extensive television career. She began her acting journey in 1966, making her debut on The Secret Storm and simultaneously appearing on Broadway in Woody Allen's comedy Don't Drink the Water. Her film debut came the following year in The Incident. Mills gained recognition for her three-year stint on the soap opera Love is a Many Splendored Thing (1967–1970) and her role as Tobie Williams in the cult thriller Play Misty for Me (1971). She also appeared in the heist film Murph the Surf (1975) and made guest appearances on popular 1970s shows like Hawaii Five-O, Gunsmoke, The Love Boat, and The Six Million Dollar Man. Mills achieved great success as Abby Cunningham on the primetime soap opera Knots Landing from 1980 to 1989, earning three Soap Opera Digest Awards for Outstanding Villainess. She has since starred in numerous TV movies.
