Donna Preston (born 6 June 1986) is an English actress, comedian, and writer. She gained recognition for her appearances in various films and television series. Preston's notable works include her roles in Apocalypse Wow, Hey Tracey!, and Michael McIntyre's Big Show. In 2022, she portrayed the character Despair in Neil Gaiman's The Sandman, released on Netflix. Preston was born in York, North Yorkshire, and attended Fulford School and York College. She received her training at Rose Bruford in London. Her film credits include Set the Thames on Fire, Grimsby, The Hitman's Bodyguard, and Holmes & Watson. Additionally, she has lent her voice to several channels, such as Discovery Channel, BBC, ITV, E4, Amazon, and Channel 4. In 2018, she appeared in Coronation Street and Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald, along with her prominent role in Michael McIntyre's Big Show, where she executed pranks with improvisation skills.
