Donovan

Donovan Phillips Leitch, born on May 10, 1946, is a Scottish musician, songwriter, and record producer known as Donovan. He is recognized for his unique blend of folk, jazz, pop, psychedelic rock, and world music, particularly calypso. Donovan has lived in various locations, including Scotland, Hertfordshire, London, California, and since 2008, County Cork, Ireland. In 1965, Donovan gained fame in the United Kingdom through his lively performances on the popular TV series Ready Steady Go!. He signed with Pye Records that year and released singles and two folk-influenced albums on Hickory Records. Donovan's career took off internationally after signing with CBS/Epic in the US and collaborating with renowned record producer Mickie Most, producing numerous hit singles and albums in multiple countries.
