Dorian Harewood Biography
Dorian Harewood (born August 6, 1950) is an American actor known for his roles in film and television. He gained recognition for his portrayal of Jesse Owens in The Jesse Owens Story (1984), Paul Strobber on Strike Force (1981–1982), and Rev. Morgan Hamilton in 7th Heaven (1996–2003). Harewood was born on August 6, 1950, in Dayton, Ohio, to Emerson Macaulay and Estelle Olivia Harewood. He graduated from the Conservatory of Music at the University of Cincinnati in 1972. Harewood began his career in musical theater and later transitioned to film and television. He has appeared on Broadway in productions such as Two Gentlemen of Verona, Streamers, and The Mighty Gents. Harewood's talent and dedication have earned him a Theatre World Award for Most Promising Actor, and he credits his mentor, Bette Davis, for encouraging him to pursue dramatic roles.
