Doug Fieger (August 20, 1952 – February 14, 2010) was an American musician, singer, and songwriter. He was best known as the rhythm guitarist and lead vocalist of the rock band The Knack, and co-wrote their biggest hit song, 'My Sharona,' in 1979. Fieger was born in Oak Park, Michigan to June Beth and Bernard Julian Fieger. He grew up in the 9 Mile/Greenfield area of Oak Park and attended Oak Park High School. Before forming The Knack, Fieger played bass and sang lead in the group Sky. He was a talented musician who left a lasting impact on the music industry.
