McKeon attended Indian Hills High School. Not related to actors Philip McKeon or Nancy McKeon, he has made notable appearances in both television and film. He has acted in movies such as Uncle Joe Shannon, for which he received a Golden Globe Award nomination, On Golden Pond, Night Crossing, and Mischief.
