Drew Waters, born on December 30, 1998, is an American professional baseball outfielder currently playing for the Kansas City Royals in Major League Baseball (MLB). He made his MLB debut in 2022. Waters attended Etowah High School in Woodstock, Georgia, where he showcased impressive baseball skills. As a senior, he led his team to a Class 7A state championship title, batting .516 with 15 home runs and 40 RBIs. His outstanding performance earned him the titles of Georgia Gatorade Player of the Year and Metro Atlanta High School Player of the Year. In the 2017 MLB draft, Waters was selected by the Atlanta Braves in the second round and signed a contract with them, forgoing his commitment to the University of Georgia.
