Dudley Sutton Biography
Dudley Sutton (6 April 1933 – 15 September 2018) was an English actor known for his work in radio, stage, film, and television. He gained recognition for his role as Tinker Dill in the BBC Television drama series Lovejoy. Sutton was born in Kingston upon Thames and attended a boys' boarding school in Devon. Prior to his acting career, he served in the Royal Air Force as a mechanic. After being expelled from the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, he went on to work with Joan Littlewood's Theatre Workshop. Sutton's notable film roles include a frustrated teenager in The Boys (1962) and a gay biker in The Leather Boys (1964), showcasing his ability to portray unique characters on screen.
