Duncan Preston Biography
Duncan Preston is an English actor, born on August 11, 1946. He is best known for his roles in television productions written by Victoria Wood. Preston starred in the soap opera parody sketches Acorn Antiques and portrayed Stan in the sitcom dinnerladies from 1998 to 2000. He also reprised his role of Clifford in Acorn Antiques: The Musical! in 2005. Preston has had notable television roles including DS Todd in EastEnders (1987), Jonathan Haslam in Surgical Spirit (1989-1995), and Doug Potts in Emmerdale (2007-2011, 2014-2020). Additionally, he has made guest appearances in several TV series such as The Professionals, Bergerac, and Casualty.
