Dustin Diamond

Dustin Neil Diamond (January 7, 1977 – February 1, 2021) was an American actor and stand-up comedian. He is best known for his portrayal of Samuel 'Screech' Powers in the Saved by the Bell franchise. Diamond was born in San Jose, California to Jaimee and Mark Diamond. He began acting as a child and gained fame playing Screech in the television show Saved by the Bell, a role he played for nearly thirteen years. He continued the series into college with Saved by the Bell: The College Years. Diamond's career also included stand-up comedy performances. He passed away on February 1, 2021.
