Dustin Guy Defa

Dustin Guy Defa is an American independent filmmaker and actor. He was born in Salt Lake City, Utah in 1978. Defa gained recognition for directing the feature films Bad Fever and Person to Person, as well as writing the screenplay for The Mountain. His debut film, Bad Fever, premiered at South by Southwest and received positive reviews for its naturalistic style and the performances of its actors. Richard Brody of The New Yorker praised Defa's ability to evoke emotional terrors with a sympathetic directness. Defa also directed the short films Person to Person and Family Nightmare, both of which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival.
