Dwight Yoakam

Dwight Yoakam is an American country singer-songwriter, actor, and film director. Born on October 23, 1956, he gained mainstream attention in 1986 with the release of his debut album Guitars, Cadillacs, Etc., Etc. Yoakam has released a total of ten studio albums for Reprise Records, with his first three albums reaching number one on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart. He has achieved considerable success with two number-one singles on Hot Country Songs and twelve additional top-ten hits. Yoakam has won two Grammy Awards and one Academy of Country Music award. Apart from his music career, he has also ventured into acting and film directing.
