Earl Mann
Earl W. Mann (June 8, 1886 – 1969) was a Colorado state legislator and a Republican. Born in Lyons, Iowa, he served in the U.S. Army during World War I and was injured by poison gas. After being treated at Fitzsimmons Army Hospital in Denver, he was elected to the Colorado House of Representatives in 1942, serving five consecutive terms. Earl Mann also wrote newspaper columns expressing his opposition to lynching and the Alien Land Act. His columns highlighted the failed legislation to make lynching a federal crime and criticized the Alien Land Act as 'fascism appearing in a new suit of clothes.'
