Ed O'Neill Biography
Edward Leonard O'Neill, born on April 12, 1946, is an American actor and comedian. He is best known for his roles as Al Bundy in the Fox Network sitcom Married... with Children and Jay Pritchett in the award-winning ABC sitcom Modern Family. O'Neill has received recognition for his performances, including two Golden Globe nominations for Married... with Children and three Primetime Emmy nominations and four Screen Actors Guild Awards for Modern Family. He has also appeared in films such as the Wayne's World series, Little Giants, Prefontaine, The Bone Collector, and Sun Dogs. O'Neill has provided voice work for the Wreck-It Ralph franchise and Finding Dory. O'Neill was born in Youngstown, Ohio, into an Irish-American Catholic family and attended Ursuline High School.
