Ed O'Ross (born Edward Orss; July 5, 1949) is an American actor known for his notable roles in various movies and TV shows. Born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, on July 5, 1949, O'Ross is of Czechoslovak descent. He attended Munhall High School, where he excelled as a star baseball player, graduating in 1964. O'Ross went on to study at Point Park College and Carnegie Tech (now Carnegie Mellon University), where he trained under Ralph Lewando. Prior to his acting career, O'Ross was a successful boxer, winning a Golden Gloves amateur championship in 1964. He also pursued a career in minor league baseball and even auditioned for two Major League Baseball teams. Some of his most notable on-screen roles include Itchy in Dick Tracy, Max Kale in Walker Texas Ranger, and Lt. Touchdown in Full Metal Jacket. He also appeared in TV shows like Six Feet Under (2001-2005) and Shark (2006-2008).
