Ed Speleers Biography
Edward John Speleers, born on April 7, 1988, is an English actor and producer. He gained recognition for his portrayal of the title role in the 2006 film Eragon. Speleers is also known for his roles as antagonist Stephen Bonnet in the TV series Outlander, Jimmy Kent in the TV series Downton Abbey, Jack Crusher in the third season of Star Trek: Picard (2023), and Rhys Montrose in the fourth season of You (2023). Born in Chichester, West Sussex, England, Speleers comes from a Belgian descent. He started his acting journey by performing in school productions and even wrote a controversial play called Retribution during his time at Eastbourne College.
