Eddie Murphy

Edward Regan Murphy, born on April 3, 1961, is an American actor and comedian. He gained popularity as a regular cast member on the sketch comedy show Saturday Night Live from 1980 to 1984. Murphy has also excelled as a stand-up comedian and is recognized as one of the top 10 stand-ups of all time according to Comedy Central. He has been honored with prestigious awards such as a Grammy Award, an Emmy Award, and the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor in 2015. Murphy's notable film performances include 48 Hrs. (1982), the Beverly Hills Cop series (1984-present), Trading Places (1983), The Nutty Professor (1996), and Dolemite Is My Name (2019). He has received multiple Golden Globe nominations and has won awards for his work in Dr. Dolittle (1998) and its sequel.
