Eddie Santiago

Eddie Santiago, born Eduardo Santiago Rodríguez on August 18, 1955, is a renowned salsa singer from Puerto Rico. With a passion for salsa music from a young age, Santiago began his career by performing with various groups, such as Generación 2000, Orquesta La Potente, Orquesta Opus, and the Orquesta Saragüey. In 1986, he gained immense popularity as a solo artist, forming his own band and recording hit songs like 'Tú me quemas,' 'Qué Locura Enamorarme de Ti,' 'Me Fallaste,' and 'Lluvia,' among many others. Santiago's fame extended to Europe and the United States, solidifying his position as one of the most beloved salsa singers of the late 1980s and early 1990s. He played a significant role in the 'salsa romántica' genre.
