Eddie Velez, born Edwin Velez on June 4, 1958, is an American film, stage, and television actor. He is most recognized for his role as Frankie Santana in the final season of the popular American action and adventure television series, The A-Team. Velez was born in Manhattan, New York, to Puerto Rican parents. He attended the High School of Art and Design and later studied at the School of Visual Arts. Beginning his career as a stand-up comic, Velez transitioned to acting after serving in the Air Force. He appeared in stage plays, including the award-winning Delirious. In television, he guest-starred in shows such as Hill Street Blues, Just Shoot Me!, and Murder, She Wrote.
