Edgar Wright is an English filmmaker known for his fast-paced and kinetic, satirical genre films. Born on April 18, 1974, Wright began his career by making independent short films before directing his first feature film, A Fistful of Fingers, in 1995. He has created and directed various television shows, including the comedy series Asylum in 1996 and the sitcom Spaced from 1999 to 2001. Wright is best known for his Three Flavours Cornetto trilogy, which includes the zombie comedy Shaun of the Dead (2004), the buddy cop film Hot Fuzz (2007), and the science fiction comedy The World's End (2013).
