Edmund Cobb Biography
Edmund Fessenden Cobb (June 23, 1892 – August 15, 1974) was an American actor who appeared in over 620 films between 1912 and 1966. Born in Albuquerque, New Mexico, Cobb's initial interest in acting was sparked by a locally produced play when he was 18. He began his career with the St. Louis Motion Picture Company and went on to work with various other companies. One of his earliest roles was a bit part in the Essanay Studios film A Pueblo Legend (1912). Cobb's most notable work came after he signed with Universal in 1925. He continued to act in films, albeit in less prominent roles, even after the introduction of sound.
