Reginald Edward Oliphant Jewesbury, known professionally as Edward Jewesbury, was an English actor known for his work in film, stage, and television. Born on August 6, 1917, he was a prominent member of the Renaissance Theatre Company. Jewesbury's notable stage appearances include The Tempest, Much Ado About Nothing, and Cyrano de Bergerac, which he also brought to Broadway in 1984. In addition to his stage work, he appeared in various television comedies such as Yes Minister and Blackadder II. Some of his film credits include John Wesley, Sacco e Vanzetti, and Little Dorrit. Jewesbury is also known for portraying King Henry VI of England in the 1995 film Richard III.
