Eileen Brennan Biography
Eileen Brennan (born Verla Eileen Regina Brennen; September 3, 1932 – July 28, 2013) was an American actress. She made her film debut in the satire Divorce American Style (1967), and appeared in Peter Bogdanovich's The Last Picture Show (1971), earning a BAFTA Award nomination. Brennan gained critical acclaim as Captain Doreen Lewis in the film Private Benjamin, receiving an Academy Award nomination. She reprised the role in a television adaptation, winning a Golden Globe and a Primetime Emmy Award. Brennan is best known for her comical role as Mrs. Peacock in Clue (1985) and starred in other comedy-mystery films. She also had a role in Jeepers Creepers (2001) and had a prolific television career.
