El Hefe

Aaron Abeyta, known professionally as El Hefe or Hefe, is an American musician and actor. Born on August 8, 1965, he is best known as the lead guitarist and trumpet player for the punk rock band NOFX. Abeyta began playing guitar at 13 and joined his first band at 15. He joined NOFX in 1991 and made his recording debut with the band on their EP, The Longest Line. Abeyta was given the nickname El Hefe by NOFX founder Fat Mike, as a way to avoid confusion with another person named Erin. Besides his music career, El Hefe previously owned a nightclub called Hefe's in Eureka, California. He currently resides in Stevenson Ranch, California, and has two children.
