Elisabeth Fraser (January 8, 1920 – May 5, 2005) was an American actress known for playing brassy blondes. Born Elisabeth Fraser Jonker in Brooklyn, New York, she received her education in Haiti, France, and New York. Fraser's acting career began shortly after high school, when she landed a role in the Broadway production of There Shall Be No Night, which won the Pulitzer Prize. She then signed a contract with Warner Brothers studios and appeared in numerous films. Notable movies include The Man Who Came to Dinner, All My Sons, Roseanna McCoy, and So Big. Fraser's most memorable role was as Shelley Winters' friend in the 1965 hit film.
