Eliza Butterworth

Eliza Butterworth (born July 24, 1993) is an English actress known for her role as Lady Aelswith in the medieval drama The Last Kingdom (2015–2022). She has also appeared in The North Water (2020) and A Town Called Malice (2023). Born and raised in Lincoln, England, Butterworth has dual citizenship, with an English father from Lancashire and an Italian American mother from Iowa. She attended Lincoln Minster School and later graduated from the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA) with a Bachelor of Arts in Acting in 2014. Butterworth's passion for acting was ignited during a school play, and she has since delivered notable performances on both stage and screen.
