Elizabeth Hawthorne Biography
Elizabeth Hawthorne is a New Zealand actress known for her notable roles in films and TV shows. Born on April 30, 1947, she gained recognition for portraying Mrs. Macready in the 2005 film The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, as well as her role in the Peter Jackson supernatural comedy The Frighteners. Additionally, Hawthorne had a recurring role as the voice of Hera on Young Hercules and played Alcmene in Hercules: The Legendary Journeys. She also appeared as Judge Harriet Caldwell in the 2004 TV movie Raising Waylon. Hawthorne is married to Raymond Hawthorne and is the mother of Emmeline Hawthorne and the late Sophia Hawthorne. In 2001, she was appointed an Officer of the New Zealand Order of Merit for her contributions to the theatre.
