Ella Mai

Ella Mai Howell (born November 3, 1994) is an English R&B singer known for her soulful vocals and chart-topping hits. She began her musical journey at the British and Irish Modern Music Institute in London, where she auditioned for The X Factor as part of a trio. In 2015, she gained recognition on SoundCloud with her solo EP 'Troubled,' catching the attention of American producer DJ Mustard, who signed her to his record label, 10 Summers Records. From 2016 to 2018, she released three EPs, including 'Time,' 'Change,' and 'Ready.' Her self-titled debut studio album, released in 2018, featured the hit singles 'Boo'd Up' and 'Trip,' both of which achieved significant success on the Billboard Hot 100.
