Ellen Foley Biography
Ellen Foley is an American singer and actress, born in 1951 in St. Louis, Missouri. She gained public recognition through her collaboration with rock singer Meat Loaf, notably on the hit single 'Paradise by the Dashboard Light' from the 1977 album 'Bat Out of Hell.' Foley's powerful vocals and distinct style made her a standout presence in the music video, although Karla DeVito lip-synced to her vocals. In addition to her music career, Foley has also appeared on Broadway and television, including a one-season role in the sitcom 'Night Court.' She has released five solo albums, with her debut album 'Night Out' featuring the successful single 'What's a Matter Baby.'
