Ellen Sandweiss Biography
Ellen Sandweiss is an American actress known for her role as Cheryl Williams in The Evil Dead franchise. Born in Detroit, Michigan, Sandweiss attended the University of Michigan and participated in plays and Super 8 movies with Sam Raimi and Bruce Campbell during her time at Groves High School. Her breakthrough came in 1981 when she portrayed Cheryl in the horror cult classic The Evil Dead. Following a hiatus from acting, Sandweiss returned to the screen in 2006's Satan's Playground and later appeared in My Name Is Bruce in 2007. In 2013, she had a cameo in Sam Raimi's Oz the Great and Powerful. Sandweiss reprised her role as Cheryl Williams in the TV series Ash vs. Evil Dead in 2016.
