Ellen Thomas (born January 24, 1947) is an American peace activist and actor. She first gained attention for her involvement with the White House Peace Vigil in 1984. Born in Brooklyn and raised in California, Thomas developed a strong opposition to nuclear weapons during her childhood. In addition to her activism, she pursued a career in acting, appearing in various movies and TV shows. Thomas is also the head of The Proposition One Non-Radioactive Nuclear Review, a traveling multimedia troupe that raises awareness about the dangers of a nuclear future. She has made significant contributions to promoting nuclear disarmament and has served on the board of directors for the Washington Peace Center.
