Ellora Patnaik Biography
Ellora Patnaik is a Canadian actress of film, stage, and television, as well as an Odissi dancer. She was born on September 5, 1968, in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Her parents, Promod and Chitralekha Patnaik, immigrated to Canada from Orissa, India in the 1960s. Patnaik attended M. M. Robinson High School in Burlington, Ontario. In 1986, she was selected for training by the late Padma Vibhushan Kelucharan Mohapatra and studied at the Odissi Research Centre in Orissa, India. Her primary dance guru was her mother, who began training her as an Odissi dancer from a young age. Patnaik has also received training from notable figures such as the late Padmashri Pankaj Charan Das and the late Padmabibhusan Kelucharan Mohapatra.
