Emile Davenport Hirsch is an American actor born on March 13, 1985. Known for his exceptional portrayal of Chris McCandless in Into the Wild (2007), Hirsch has garnered widespread acclaim throughout his career. Some of his other notable roles include The Girl Next Door (2004), Speed Racer (2008), Lords of Dogtown (2005), Alpha Dog (2006), Milk (2008), Lone Survivor (2013), The Autopsy of Jane Doe (2016), The Chinese Widow (2017), An Evening with Beverly Luff Linn (2018), and Once Upon a Time...in Hollywood (2019). Hirsch, with German, English, and Scottish-Irish ancestry, was born in Los Angeles. He attended Alexander Hamilton High School where he studied in the Music program.
