Emily Coutts

Emily Coutts is a Canadian actress known for her portrayal of Keyla Detmer, a bridge officer, on the Paramount+ series Star Trek: Discovery. She is a graduate of York University's drama program and has showcased her talents in various independent short and feature films as a writer, producer, and actor. Coutts also co-wrote and co-produced the web series Beattie & Mae, where she appeared alongside Melanie Leishman. In 2019, she bravely came out as gay, and in August 2020, she happily announced her engagement to producer Lexy Altman.
