Emily Taaffe

Emily Anne Taaffe is an Irish actress based in South London. She was born in Skerries, Ireland to parents Noeleen and Eamonn Taaffe. After moving to Tullyallen near Drogheda, County Louth, she lived there until university. Emily obtained a First-Class Honours B.A. from Trinity College Dublin in 2005 and then trained at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA). She has appeared in numerous theatrical productions across the UK and Ireland, including roles such as Daphne in Terry Pratchett's Nation and Hannah Lambroke in Conor McPherson's The Veil at the National Theatre, London. Emily has also performed leading roles for The Royal Shakespeare Company. In 2016, she married writer Ben Schiffer.
