Emily Taheny

Emily Taheny (born 1978) is an Australian comedian, television actress, and singer. She is best known for her appearances on the sketch comedy television series Comedy Inc. from 2003 through 2007. Taheny also played the role of 'Kat' on the 2009 series The Jesters and is a regular cast member on the satirical news program Shaun Micallef's Mad as Hell. Born in Warooka, Yorke Peninsula, South Australia, Taheny started her career in stand-up comedy in 1989. She has performed at various festivals including the Adelaide Fringe Festival, Edinburgh Festival, and Melbourne Festival. Taheny's collaboration with her sister Fiona O'Loughlin, Fiona, Her Sister and Some Guy, won the Best Newcomer Award at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival in 2001.
